HOW TO INSTALL CONTRA, MARIO AND OTHER RETRO GAMES IN OUR SMARTPHONE | THE TECHNOBYTE |

HOW TO INSTALL CONTRA, MARIO AND OTHER RETRO GAMES IN OUR SMARTPHONE | THE TECHNOBYTE |

Most of us have played arcade games like Contra, Mario, Pac-Man, Galaga in our childhood. Those were unforgettable memories. Gaming has changed a lot over the past decade. The evolution of PlayStation & Xbox took gaming to another level. Modern games have realistic graphics and virtual reality support and much more.

But we still miss the retro NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) games which we used to play in our childhood. There were no in-app purchases those days which almost all modern titles today have. Many of us still want to play the old games.

A handful of those games are still available in the play store. But they are not available with the same retro graphics. The following steps will help you install retro games in your smartphone easily.

Step 1:

Download NES emulator from the Play Store.

These 8-bit games can be played using a NES emulator. There are many NES emulators available in the play store. But only some of them are working properly.

I tried a few of them. Out of which, this app performed really well. It has a clean interface and a bunch of popular titles pre-installed. On top of that, you can save your game and resume afterwards.

Tip:

To avoid seeing ads, turn off your mobile data or Wifi in your phone while using this app.

Step 2:

Download games.

Now, the emulator is successfully installed and we need to download games. You can Google “NES emulator games” and download ROM files. Surprisingly many sites still offer thousands of retro games.

Step 3:

Run the app.

Open the emulator. The emulator app will automatically scan for ROM files and display them. In some emulators, we need to manually select ROM files. Launch the game and it will run smoothly.

P.S: I really enjoyed playing Contra and Mario in this emulator. Comment which is your favourite game. If you share this, it would make my day😊.
