HOW PEOPLE IN AMERICA FREQUENTLY BUY NEW IPHONES? | SHOULD YOU BUY AN IPHONE 11 IN 2020? | THE TECHNOBYTE |

Recently I ran into an old friend of mine. We chatted a bit and he told me that he recently bought an iPhone 11. I used it for a couple of hours and I was stunned by its camera performance.

After reaching home, I was curious and I started googling about iPhone 11. There were many queries people had about iPhone 11 and also about iPhones in general. In this blog I’ll be addressing the common queries people have about iPhones.

1. How people frequently buy new iPhones in the US?

The way of buying phones isn't the same in US as in India. In the US, most people buy phones through a contract-based system from a carrier. Carrier refers to a network service provider. (e.g: Airtel, Jio, in India. AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, in the U.S).

You only have to pay a small initial amount to get the handset. The rest can be paid monthly in addition to the carrier network service charges. The phone will be locked to the particular carrier you bought from until you pay the full amount.

When a newer version of the phone is released before the contract period is over, there are many options to upgrade your current phone to the newly released model at a minimal cost from the same carrier.

Many people tend to buy a new phone after the contract period is over, which is typically a 12 month or a 24 month period. Generally, carriers offer a great value for the used device. So, while exchanging, the cost of the new handset will be moderately low when compared to its original price.

2.Should we buy an iPhone 11 in 2020?

Every year, when a new iPhone is released, the previous generation receives a good price cut. So, If you are planning to buy an iPhone 11, I suggest you to wait for a couple of months after the release of iPhone 12. iPhone 11's price will drop.

3.How does the iPhone 11 perform in 2020?

iPhone 11 is still a great device. There are no major compromises and you won't be disappointed.

Display:

In 2020’s standards, the resolution is really low for a phone above 50K. It houses only a HD panel. But keeping the resolution aside, the quality of the display is exceptional. If you are used to OLED panels and switch to this device, you will notice some difference. Otherwise, it is a bright and vivid LCD display.

Performance:

iPhone 11 houses the flagship A13 Bionic chip. This phone is a beast. It can run any app on the app store smoothly. It has 4GB RAM and 64/128/256GB in built storage. When it comes to iOS, 4GB RAM is more than enough. It can easily compete with 8GB RAM   phones in android and can multitask seamlessly.
Camera:

This phone has a dual camera setup and it outperforms many Android flagships released in 2020 with quad cameras. It has portrait lighting options for both front and rear camera. The main 12-megapixel sensor produces excellent pictures in both daylight and at night. The images produced by the 12-megapixel selfie camera are also decent. Both the cameras can record 4K @ 60fps.

Battery:

Over the last few years, the battery size of iPhones has been increasing steadily. The iPhone 11 has a 3110 mah battery. The battery life on this phone is excellent. It can easily withstand a full day even under heavy usage. It supports 18W fast charging but only a 5W charger is included in the box. It also has support for wireless charging.

Updates:

The main reason why people prefer iPhones is because of its timely updates. This phone is expected to receive iOS updates for the next 3-4 years for sure.

Advantages:

  • Timely updates.
  • Excellent performance.
  • Great battery life.
  • Amazing cameras.

Disadvantages:

  • No 3.5mm jack.
  • A higher resolution display would've been better.

Conclusion:

If you are interested in iPhones, then the iPhone 11 would be a great choice and you won’t regret buying it. But as mentioned earlier, wait for the price drop. But if you're thinking about buying an Android flagship device for 30K, then the next blog will surely help you. Hint: It is a flagship from 2019. Do subscribe to receive regular notifications.
P.S : If you share this, it would make my day.
