HOW TO DOWNLOAD BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA IN JUST 5 STEPS | THE TECHNOBYTE |

When PUBG Mobile was banned in India, many users migrated to alternative options like COD mobile and free fire. While those are incredible games, people still miss the gameplay of PUBG. BattleGrounds Mobile India, a version of PUBG specifically for India is finally launched.

As of now, it is available in the Play Store only for pre-registered users. You also get some exclusive outfits and skins as perks for pre-registering the game. The game was said to be launched on June 18. But as a surprise, Krafton started rolling it out from June 17 onwards.

As of now, the beta testing program is full and even many of the pre-registered users haven't yet got the game. So plenty of websites started posting malicious links and claim that those are the files for the game.

These files may contain security threats. App stores like Tap Tap also now have the game but nowadays there are so many fake apps on the internet that are so-called Tap Tap. Users find it difficult to download the game and install a legit version of the game. By following five easy steps, you can install BattleGrounds Mobile India on your mobile.

Step 1: Download the required files

Click here and you will be redirected to a drive. Download the zip file from the drive.

Step 2: Extracting the resources

After downloading the zip file, you need to extract the resources from the file. You can use your phone's native extractor or third-party apps like Z Archiver. Once you have successfully extracted the files, a folder named “Battlegrounds mobile India” will be automatically created on your device.

The folder will contain the APK file and a folder named “com.pubg.imobile”, which contains the data file.

Step 3: Installing the APK

Install the APK file but do not open it.

Step 4: Placing the resources in its correct path

Copy the folder “com.pubg.imobile” to your phone’s Internal storage > Android > Obb and paste it there.

Step 5: App Permissions

Open BattleGrounds Mobile in the settings and allow storage and mic access and it’s done.

Now you can open the game and it will run smoothly. If you encountered any other errors like “resources not found” while opening the app, check whether you have placed the Obb file in its correct path. Gameplay:

In the loading screen, it shows Krafton instead of Tencent. Then you will be asked to download the resource packs required for the game. There are two options,

• Normal resource pack : 380 MB
• HD resource pack. : 680 MB

I would suggest downloading the HD resource pack for a much better visual experience. If you have already played PUBG, and have a Google play games or a Facebook account already linked to PUBG, you can use the same account and all your old outfits, skins, and emotes will be back.

The gameplay is as same as PUBG Mobile except for a few minor changes. Whenever you kill an opponent, It displays as finished instead of showing killed and the blood is now green in colour.

You also get a pop-up message stating that BGMI is a virtual world and do not try these stunts at home kind of message. All other things are as same as PUBG Mobile. Now, you can only play on the India server.

BattleGrounds Mobile India is a great game and while playing with a group of friends can be fun. But it is important to remember that, it is a game and we shouldn't get too addicted to it. Playing it for a prolonged period affects both our physical and mental health.
