             The PlayStation has been the most successful line up for Sony. The original PlayStation which was launched in 1994 was the first video game console to sell 100 million units. The PlayStation remains undefeated in the gaming industry. Each and every generation is more advanced than the previous generation. It is a game changer in the gaming industry.

          

              And now, Sony has officially introduced the PS5. The graphics were stunning and the gameplay was real smooth in the trailer shown. I think gaming will be an immersive experience in the PS5.

         I am eagerly waiting to play Spider-Man: Miles Morales in the PS5. Do let me know, what is your favorite video game in the comments.

DESIGN:

         The design of the PS5 is futuristic. The black & white combination is fantastic unlike the PS4's design. Sony has done a great job. The regular edition and the digital edition look quite similar except the regular one has an optical drive and the digital edition doesn't. 

           Now, you may be wondering, why there is a digital edition? Back in the day, many people did not have an excellent internet connection. They had a connection only good enough to surf the net. They couldn't download games that are like 100 GB. The only way to play a game for them is to buy a disk from a retail store. 

           But now things have changed. Most people have an excellent internet connection. They can buy games from online websites like steam and store it in the cloud and use it whenever necessary. The digital edition is the go-to option for most people. On my opinion, the digital edition is gonna be a huge success.

The Controller:

            The controller is getting more and more advanced. They have upgraded their dual shock controller from the previous generation to a dual sense controller. As the name suggests, Sony has adopted haptic feedback in the controller and also in the L2 R2 buttons. This controller gives us a sensation like shooting a real gun and driving a car through mud.

           The new controller also has an in-built microphone, so that gamers can chat easily without a headset.

CPU : AMD Zen 2-based CPU with 8 cores at 3.5GHz (variable frequency).

GPU : 10.28 TFLOPs, 36 CUs at 2.23 GHZ (variable frequency).

GPU architecture : Custom RDNA 2.

Memory interface : 16GB GDDR6/256-bit.

Memory bandwidth : 448 GB/S

Internal storage : Custom 825GB SSD.

IO throughput : 5.5GB/S (raw), typical 8-9 GB/S (compressed).

Expandable storage : NVMe SSD slot.

External storage : USB HDD support(PS4 games only).

Optical drive : 4K UHD Blu-ray drive.

Pricing:

          Sony hasn't officially released the price of the PS5. But according to leaks, it is expected to be priced around 450 USD (34000 INR) for the regular edition and 400 USD(30500 INR) for the digital edition, which is awesome.

My opinion:

          I think the digital edition is going to be a huge success because of the affordable pricing. The PS5 also has backward compatibility, so that if you have PS4 games, you can run them in PS5. 

        

         When it comes to VR compatibility, there is no official confirmation for the native games. But as the console supports backward compatibility, which will naturally include PS VR games as well. If you are a gamer, then you are in for a real treat. If they bring the PS5 around 450 USD, it would be awesome.
