FAUG FIRST IMPRESSIONS | GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE INCLUDED | IS IT WORTHY? | THE TECHNOBYTE |

When PUBG was banned in 2020, many people started migrating to similar games like COD Mobile and Free fire. That's when the Indian government announced that their own Battle Royale game FAUG will be released soon. Many were eagerly waiting for the Indian game to be released.

The trailer of the game was released in 2021 and the government said, the game will be released on January 26th. As they said, the game was released on Republic Day. In this blog, I'll be covering every aspect of the game and also some gameplay footage. Do subscribe if you are new here and share it with your friends.

Story:

FAUG stands for Fearless and United Guards. FAUG’s story is based on real-life incidents that happened in Galwan Valley. The story starts with Lieutenant Singh and his teammates securing the border on June 15, 2020. Suddenly they realize that they were not alone that day. The enemy soldiers killed his teammates.

Lieutenant Singh wakes up and sees two of his teammates dead beside him. He is determined to save the rest of his teammates and do his duty to his nation.

Graphics:

Battle Royale games like Call of duty Mobile and PUBG are known for their intense and realistic graphics. When FAUG was announced, many people were eager to see the graphics developed in India. The graphics were not impressive in the trailer. But in the main game, the graphics were surprisingly good.

The main high light was the audio quality. The sounds were impressive. The sound for every hit was massive. The graphic quality can be adjusted in the settings.

Controls and Settings:

The game is still in the developing phase. The controls are just like COD Mobile and PUBG. The left is for movement at the right side is for attack options. In the settings menu, there are a handful of settings. The Graphics can be adjusted from very low to intensive and other settings such as adjusting sensitivity are present.Store & Weapons:
Like every other game, FAUG too has an in-app store from where you can make in-app purchases. You can buy tokens, to purchase weapons, characters, and skins for weapons. Until now, there are no guns in the game.

This is because of the India-China agreement regarding no guns in Galwan valley. But FAUG is expected to have guns in the future since it is a military-based game. But these guns will not be in the Galwan Valley and will be in some other part of the map.
Only handheld combat weapons are available for now. Weapons can be picked up from enemies after defeating them. You can buy various skins for weapons using tokens from the store. FAUG states that 20 percent of the funds will be contributed to the Bharat Ke Veer association.

Modes: There are three modes in the game:

  • Campaign.
  • Team deathmatch.
  • Free for all.
Only campaign mode is available right now. The other two modes are expected to be opened soon. The campaign mode is based on the story and it is situated in Galwan valley. Team Deathmatch will be between 2 teams. Free for all is a battle royale mode like Call Of Duty Mobile and PUBG.

Minimum specification:

  • Android version 8.0 and higher.
  • 2 GB RAM or higher.
  • 500MB free space.
Pros:
  • The whole game is less than 500 MB while its rival games take more than 2 GB.
  • Immersive sound experience.
  • Decent graphics.
Cons:

  • Lack of guns.
  • Only a hand full of customizations are available.
  • TDM and Battle royale modes are still locked.
Conclusion:
Should you download this game? For a newly released game, FAUG has stood above the expectations of everybody and is very impressive. But its rival games like COD Mobile and Free fire has evolved a lot. There is still a lot more to catch up for FAUG. It is an Indian made game and it needs people’s support. The overall gameplay is enjoyable and you won’t regret downloading it. Do subscribe to enjoy more awesome content. Follow us on Instagram to receive daily updates. Catch you up in the next blog.
